Information provided by Jessica Dicken, Hocking County Fair Board Secretary 4-20-2020
Scrapie Tags for Goats and Lambs: The ODA has new requirements for scrapie tags in goats and lambs.
June Tag-In: There will be no physical Tag-In/Weigh-In this year. We will be conducting a virtual Tag-In. An exhibitor will have the option of completing a google form or completing a PDF and mailing it in. If an exhibitor cannot complete the google form and needs the PDF form printed off, the Hocking County Fair Board Secretary's office can do this. A google form/PDF must be completed for each animal. June 5th is the deadline. If a hog does not have ear notches please make sure a face picture is still uploaded.
Rate of Gain: Due to not being able to hold a physical Tag-In/Weigh-In this year, there will be no Rate of Gain for the 2020 fair. This was voted upon unanimously and this will be for all species.
Skillathon: The senior fair board unanimously voted to waive the requirement that an exhibitor must compete in a skillathon to be able to show/sale at the county fair. *
* However, Hocking County 4-H requires a member to participate in the county skillathon/juding event for one project to be considered complete in 2020.
