Cloverbud Flyup 2007
Ten Hocking County 4-H Cloverbud members who are graduating from the Cloverbud program to become traditional 4-H club members were honored at the second annual Cloverbud Fly-Up Event held on Thursday, Nov. 29 at the Youth Center. The graduates were welcomed into the traditional club membership with a candle-lighting ceremony, enjoyed making a craft, made their own ice cream sundae, had their individual photo taken with Brutus Buckeye, and made a frame for their photo. This event was sponsored by the Hocking County 4-H Committee, and Junior Leader Amber Mahan assisted OSU Extension staff Barbara Carder and Sheila Meyer. The members and their family members also enjoyed reviewing many of the project books designed for beginners.

Cloverbuds
Note: Eligibility for Cloverbud membership begins when a child has reached age 5 and is enrolled in kindergarten as of January 1 of the current year.
Cloverbuds may be members in a traditional club and attend meetings of the club. One advisor is typically designated as the Cloverbud advisor and works with the Cloverbuds while the 4-H members (at least age 8 and enrolled in third grade) are meeting.
An alternative to the traditional club is Cloverbuddies. Cloverbuddies meet at the youth center for activity meetings. All youth who meet the age criteria are welcome! If you are a member in a traditional club, you may still attend Cloverbuddies meetings. We hope to see you soon!
