Hocking County 4-H Junior Leadership Program
WHAT IS IT?
Junior Leadership is an organized program of activities, which encourage older 4-H club members to develop new knowledge and expand skills and attitudes related to leadership and citizenship. Our Program encourages learning new skills in an enjoyable (and FUN) environment!
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Any 4-H member 13-19 years of age as of January 1 may join. Everyone who completes a sign-up sheet will be accepted. There are no interviews. The meeting year will run from January to December, with few or no meetings held in the summer months. All meetings will be in the evening. There is no cost to join (unless this is the only 4-H club in which you participate; in that case there will be an annual $5 activity fee).
q Attendance You will be expected to attend at least ½ of all regular meetings. If you miss a meeting, it will be your responsibility to contact the advisor or another member to find out what you missed.
q Be Involved Participate in two committees where applicable or two community service projects in the J.L. Club.
q Help Volunteer to help at three or more County-Wide Activities such as:
q Project Judging Week
q Skillathon Judging
q Awards Program
q 4-H Food Booth
q 4-H Expo
q 4-H Camp Round-Up
One activity may be completed by attending or being a counselor at any 4-H Camp.
q Raise Funds Fundraising opportunities will be necessary to participate in activities and do community service projects.
q Have FUN!
Junior Leaders who complete these requirements will be eligible for JL trips and activities.

A JL signup form is available here. Note: registrations are due to the Extension Office by Jan. 17. The first meeting of 2006 will be held in January.
